Description: I need help with my hair; it's getting a little bit out of control as I grow it out, and I know next to nothing about hair. For exapmple, my current tactic to prevent the mop you see before you is to brush my hair then put on a hat after I shower. It kinda works, I think... So, comments & suggestions for products or tips, anything, totally appreciated!! INFORM ME!!!

jester026 ::: Favorites also, look into a technique called "Thermal Reconditioning" It's not a perm really, but it keeps your hair straight and loose, you wont wake up with the afro and you can walk around without a hat or moose and feel confident you don't have a mop on your head. Some websites say prices can range from 300-1,000 dollars depending on the hair. Since our hair works best, its an actually easy and less expensive process. You're actually looking at 50-60 dollars! jester026 ::: Favorites no worries, give it time. Actually my hair is exactly like yours, when it gets longer it'll straighten itself a bit more and feel looser. People with thick wavy hair (Like you and I) look best with long hair, the problem is the crazy hair we have halfway in the process of growing. Hat's are good! but dont wear your head out. HairGuru2007 ::: Favorites In the meantime, you can use hair mousse (NOT gel). Mousse is available at any drug store. It comes in aerosol can and looks like foam when you use it. Apply to either wet or dry hair and style. That foam dries out quickly and your hair will look natural, i.e. no traces of using any kind of product.
