There's some stuff that I missed to say, (even though this time I had to SCRIPT MYSELF --how sad, really...) 1) "Feeding myself with my rent money" (0:09-1:31): I just didn't pay my rent this month; could've done some grocery, as I so suggested it in this other video (3:43-3:48): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqYE-Kr060 ...But the truth is, I'm a lazy-ass and there's good, affordable food out there --so... 2) "Riding a cab with my rent money" (1:32-1:36): Just heading to my first day of training --at another call centre different from this one...(6:04-6:30;9:41-10:22): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_UtsIgFIDc 3) "To make a living here in Canada is to compete for opportunities with better established immigrants (...) Language is not the only obstacle" (2:35-3:42;3:55-3:57): As I see it, there is a big deal of discrimination in this city; the funny thing is how it's more likely to come from Better Established Immigrants --usually showing off their achievements and all, and keeping managerial positions for whomever they consider close to them... --On this latter issue I hope to further explain myself on the missing video about call centres (and yes, Names Will Be Likely To Be Heard...!!!) In the meantime --I am 23, bilingual, made it to enroll at University of Toronto (despite all expectations...); and I don't believe to be half as a full of myself as these immigrants are with their lifestyles: "Look at me! I am a citizen! I party so hard! I wear nothing but brand names!" Really, this city's populated by suckers. Not even the Canadians behave like this (with some few exceptions...) I guess it's nothing but the inner fear not to belong to the mainstream society or to be rejected for their condition of immigrants... (But as Lovely Trent Reznor puts it, "remember where you come from; remember what you are"; see last part of this video.) 4) This video is not a critic to the Canadian public policies or whatever (just in case.) It isn't either a hate speech of any sort... --What it is, though, is my humble observation on the Stupidity of This City!!! 5) The kid making faces to my camcorder (7:11-7:12): I don't know who he is. I could've chosen to reshoot that one take --but making a vlog in the street is pretty exhausting: took me one full week to complete it (actually just to script myself so that I can say as much as I wish in the miserable time limit of 10 minutes.) Igual, estoy haciendo otros dos videos --y otro que podría aparecer este fin de semana que viene. Para uno de ellos pienso callarme la geta (hehehehehe) y tratar de ser mas "artístico" con las imágenes.
