Description:

Dig dig deep For yourself Dig dig deep For your soul Dig dig deep The dark abyss Dig dig deep Buried in your soul What the hell does it mean? You're looking at me? What the hell does it mean? Six dead horses chase you down Fourteen guns in your hotel Thirteen men run after you Ten million babies your cat gave you Like a little beast in a sparkle grove Set right in they don't have to know _________________________________ Inhaler is the third studio album by Tad. It's the band's debut major label album after two albums and an EP on Sub Pop, and their first album with drummer Josh Sinder, formerly of The Accüsed. Tad toured with Soundgarden to promote the album, but it failed at making the band a big grunge phenomenon. Still, Inhaler is widely considered Tad's best release and one of the heaviest grunge albums to date. The song "Grease Box" from the LP "Inhaler" was the title track to the movie Brainscan starring Edward Furlong. I first remember hearing TAD when I went to see the movie 'Brainscan'; "Grease Box" was played over the end credits of the movie. I thought the song was excellent, and I absolutely HAD to buy the album it came from. It may sound silly to younger people, but besides word of mouth, that's often how we heard of new bands back then...this predates mp3s. Anyway, TAD are a canonical example of '90s grunge/metal done flawlessly. There's plenty of thrash metal influences to be found on this album, along with references to post-punk and other early alternative bands. Aside from some inevtiable 1990's flannel-covered cheese, this album is just about perfect. History is indeed written by winners, even music history. By "winning" I of course mean the thing that all bands dream of: long-lasting popularity for future generations. Unfortunately, TAD wasn't one of those bands...although they should've been. You like Testament, Metallica, Exhorder, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, or The Melvins? You'll most definitely dig this. Track Listings 1. Grease Box 2. Throat Locust 3. Leafy Incline 4. Luminol 5. Ulcer 6. Lycanthrope 7. Just Bought the Farm 8. Rotor 9. Paregoric 10. Pansy 11. Gouge P.S. - I shouldn't neglect to mention that I was shocked to see that this album is out-of-print, which is funny because I remember my local Wherehouse Music consistently had about two copies in stock. Oh well, get it before it's gone forever!(That is until it's reissued by some random Canadian indie label.)

Funny you mention Testament first in your list; another band in an amazing genre who never got the recognition they deserved but were most definitely at the forefront

My favorite Tad song has got to be "Behemoth".

Thanks for posting this :-). They made a video for leafy incline back in the day and I've been trying to find it on here. That's how I came across this. I drank many a beer and smoked many a cigarette to this music when I was a teenager. Maybe I'll start the Canadian Indie label to re-release it :-P. Cheers

I saw TAD with AIC and jawbreaker @ Palmer Auditorium in Iowa in the early 90'S. That show fn rocked and TAD really put on a good show. I'am just glad the frontman from TAD did not stage dive, as I was in the front row already getting crushed. LOL....
