My Dad (Bernie Niehaus) deceased started that festival in Ottawa with Junior Stennet (deceased) and Curt Martin, they were all Police officers in Ottawa Ohio at the time, and they got Henry Verhoff the owner of Hillbrook Recreation center in Ottawa to go along and be the venue for that Bluegrass festival and it ended up running for years. Fred Niehaus N8CPI Cuyahoga Falls Ohio.

It's called "Mama Don't Low" or "Mama Don't Allow". The first song is called "Nervous Breakdown".

Great video!! My Dad was in WW2 with Don Reno, he only played guitar then! They were both 18 when they picked together! Dad never seen him again until the 60's when the show was on!! I think Don was way above Earl!!

You say you spoke to Bill a few weeks back. How is old Bill doing. I used to catch their act in the 62-64 days back in Virginia (Arlington and Fairfax), especially at the Fairfax Food Shop. Bill and Buck were playing with Bill and Wayne Yates and Smiley Hobbs. Great bluegrass. Charlie Waller and Bill Emerson would often sit in. We all got old but the music is still fresh.
