Description: Turlough O'Carolan was probably the best known of the Irish harper composers of the 17th & 18th centuries. His music,influenced by the Italian Baroque style,epitomizes the final flowering of the Irish harp tradition. It lives today in the folk idiom, heard in many Irish sessions as 'a Carolan tune'.
